As an AI Automation Engineer, you'll design the pipelines and guardrailed playbooks that let a virtual employee reliably do real work: draft content, qualify leads, close tickets, ship code — with humans reviewing at the right checkpoints.
You'll work directly against our shared knowledge Brain, wiring virtual employees into it so every decision is grounded in real company context instead of guesswork.
What you'll actually do
- Design and build automation workflows and playbooks that guide virtual employees through guardrailed, repeatable tasks.
- Integrate third-party APIs and internal services, and route work across our multi-LLM setup (local + premium models) for the right cost/quality/latency balance per task.
- Wire virtual employees into the Brain so every task runs on real, current company context — not stale assumptions.
- Build guardrail playbooks with checkpoints, logging, and human-review gates before anything client-facing ships.
- Monitor automation quality in production — catch silent failures, regressions, and drift before they reach customers.
- Partner with department teams across our virtual-managed divisions to turn manual processes into reliable, owned playbooks.

Skill and passion — that's the bar
- Solid hands-on experience in Python or TypeScript — automation scripts, backend services, or integration work (bootcamp, self-taught, or degree — doesn't matter which).
- Practical experience integrating third-party APIs, webhooks, or internal services into a working pipeline.
- A pragmatic, ship-it automation mindset — you'd rather wire up something reliable today than design the perfect system nobody uses.
- Comfortable working in German or English — most of our team communicates in both.
- A debugging mindset — you want to know why something failed, not just patch around it.
No degree required. We hire for skill and passion — several of our best engineers are self-taught.
